Today, Grant for the Web and the Interledger Foundation announced its list of new grantees, and the Brick House is among them, with a $100,000 flagship grant!
We’re so grateful for this opportunity to put our ideas to work.
This money will allow The Brick House Cooperative to build out our website, and to develop the partnerships and technical specs we need in order to advance our work on digital ownership rights and other publishing innovations.
Our goal is to strengthen press independence by making it possible for digital publishers like us to control the rights and archiving of our media, and to develop a new revenue stream from the libraries who buy our work to preserve and lend.
Working with Grant for the Web and the Interledger Foundation, the Web Monetization standard will help us offer these benefits to readers, publishers and libraries in a flexible and forward-looking way.
